Sai Baba was disappointed with Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar because he had neglected the spiritual duties established by his late father, who was a great devotee of Vitthal and a friend of Baba's. As detailed in Chapter 4, after his father passed away, Bhagwantrao stopped the daily worship and food offerings (Naivedya) to the family's Vitthal idol and even skipped performing the annual Shraddha, or death anniversary rites. Baba told Bhagwantrao that by doing this, "He keeps me hungry too" and "He keeps Vitthal hungry too." Baba explained that he had purposefully pulled Bhagwantrao to Shirdi to remind him of these responsibilities and guide him back to the path of worship.
I read about a man named Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar. Why was Sai Baba disappointed with him?
