I heard that Sai Baba once knew a devotee's thought about him having an evil eye. What's the story behind that?

This incident, detailed in Chapter 28, demonstrates how Sai Baba was aware of his devotees' innermost thoughts. One night during the Chavadi procession, Baba developed a cough. A devotee named Laxmichand, who was present, thought to himself that the cough might be the result of someone's evil eye. The very next morning, when he went to the masjid, Laxmichand was astonished to hear Baba say to Madhavrao, "Yesterday I had much coughing; is this the effect of an evil eye?" Baba voiced the exact thought that had been in Laxmichand's mind, making the devotee wonder how Baba could know this and conclude that he must dwell in everyone's heart.
