It is true that during his nine-month stay in the Chavadi, Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid for a vision of Sai Baba. However, as Chapter 22 explains, the Chavadi's location was such that Baba's vision happened automatically without effort. He received darshan multiple times a day. Daily, he would see Baba going for and returning from alms in the morning, as His path was by the Chavadi. Every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi to salute the directions. Furthermore, on every alternate night when Baba slept in the Chavadi, Amir got to see the splendor of the procession and would even have private conversations with Baba after the other devotees went home.
