I heard Dixit had a lame leg. How did he view his physical disability, especially in relation to meeting Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 4

Dixit's perspective on his physical lameness was profoundly spiritual. Although Chandorkar suggested that Sai Baba could cure his leg, Dixit did not see this as his primary problem. Chapter 4 reveals that he considered the "real lameness" to be that of the mind, and this was the ailment he asked Sai to remove. He viewed the physical body as a temporary "worldly carriage" and was therefore not overly concerned if his leg remained lame. The injury itself, which occurred in England, is described as the auspicious event that ultimately led him to attain the rare meeting with Sai.
