I heard Baba once developed a cough and someone thought it was an evil eye. What's the full story?

This story, involving the devotee Laxmichand, is recounted in Chapter 28 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra. After becoming a staunch devotee, Laxmichand was in Shirdi. One night, during the Chavadi procession celebration, Sai Baba developed a cough. Seeing this, Laxmichand thought to himself that the cough might be troubling Baba because of someone's evil eye. It was just a fleeting, private thought. However, the next morning when Laxmichand went to the masjid, Baba brought up the same idea, speaking similarly about the cause of his cough.
