I heard Baba once asked his Guru for two paise. What did he mean by that? Was he talking about actual money?

📖 Chapter 19

In a story shared in Chapter 19, Sai Baba recounts that his Guru asked him for two paise. However, this was not a request for currency. Baba clarifies that the two paise were symbolic, representing the essential virtues of "Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi)." He explains that he gave these two "coins" to his Guru, which greatly pleased his "Guru-Mother." This teaching highlights that the true currency on the spiritual path, valued by a genuine Guru, is not worldly wealth but the disciple's unwavering faith and steadfast patience, which are the prerequisites for receiving grace.
