I heard about a man who visited Shirdi with Kaka Mahajani but was skeptical. What were his conditions for agreeing to the trip?

According to Chapter 35 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, Kaka Mahajani's friend was a devotee of the formless and averse to idol worship, agreeing to visit Shirdi purely out of a clinical curiosity. He laid out two specific conditions to his friend before they left Mumbai. He stated, "We will go to Shirdi and only take the Darshan of the saint; We will never bow our heads, nor provide any Dakshina." Only upon Kaka Mahajani's agreement to these terms did the friend, with a healthy mind, set out for Shirdi.
