I have great faith, but how do I gain the Guru's strength? What is the role of my own actions?

📖 Chapter 19

While immense wisdom and great, steady faith are valuable, Chapter 19 clarifies that gaining Guru-strength like Sai’s also requires "strong fortune." The text emphasizes the critical role of your own actions, referencing the Lord's determination in the words 'Ye yatha mam' (As they approach me...). This phrase puts the entire burden on one's actions. The principle is simple: "As the action, so the hearing; as the practice, so the benefit." You cannot expect the Guru to drain the cups of milk if you are unwilling to do the exercises. As Chapter 19 advises, you must be alert and dedicated to your task, trusting that if you do your part, the Guru's support will follow.
