I am feeling skeptical about spiritual matters. Can you share a story about how Sai Baba dealt with a skeptic?

📖 Chapter 35

The story of Boss Dharamsee from Chapter 35 provides a powerful example of how Sai Baba handled skepticism. Dharamsee arrived in Shirdi with a "clinical scrutiny," questioning why people came and doubting Baba's abilities. He disliked the grapes with seeds that Baba offered him and internally questioned Baba's sainthood. In response, Baba didn't lecture him but instead performed a personal miracle. When Dharamsee finally ate the grapes at Baba's command, he found they had become seedless. This direct experience shattered his ego and skepticism, replacing it with love and devotion. As Chapter 35 describes, "All his ego dropped away, and love for the saint was born." This illustrates that Baba often worked through personal experience rather than argument to transform a person's heart and mind.
