How was the Shri Sai Satcharita written, and how reliable are the stories within it?

The creation of the Shri Sai Satcharita was based on a combination of direct observation and firsthand accounts. As explained in Chapter 0, the author, Shri Annasaheb, personally witnessed many of the Leelas he described. For events he did not see, the stories were communicated to him directly by devotees who had the experiences, many of whom were still alive at the time of writing. Chapter 0 mentions that Annasaheb's role was to take these reliable accounts and dress them "in a poetic, attractive, and beautiful garment with his graceful and succulent voice," ensuring the preservation of authentic experiences.
