How was the Patil's disease cured in Chapter 13, and what was his reaction to the cure?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 13

The Patil's cure was highly unconventional and rooted in a dream. Chapter 13 describes how he had a strange dream in which a teacher punished him with a cane, and then a gentleman used a grinding stone on his chest as if it were a mortar. Though agonizing in the dream, upon waking he felt an unprecedented freshness and his disease had vanished completely. His reaction was one of immense satisfaction and gratitude. Realizing this was Baba's grace, he went for darshan, and upon seeing Baba's face, his joy overflowed. He placed his forehead on Baba's feet, acknowledging that the painful dream had a clearly beneficial result and he felt as though he had been reborn.
