How was the area decorated for Sai Baba's Chavadi procession, and what preparations were made for His walk?

The preparations for the Chavadi procession were elaborate and festive. As Chapter 37 describes, the route was adorned to honor Sai Baba. Arches and toranas, which are garlands, were placed at crossroads, and flags fluttered high in the sky. To illuminate the evening, many rows of lamps were lit in the vicinity of the Masjid. Special care was taken for the path Baba would walk on; shawls and double shawls were spread out as foot-cloths. The horse Shyamakarna, who led the procession, was also resplendent in full decoration, adding to the grandeur of the event.
