How was Sai Baba received and worshipped upon his arrival at the Chavadi?

Once the procession reached the Chavadi, Sai Baba was seated and honored with great devotion. Chapter 51 details how devotees would lovingly adorn him. They would place a crest, a golden crown, or a turban on his head and drape garlands of diamonds, pearls, and emeralds around his neck. His body would be anointed with sandalwood, and a fragrant mark of musk would be applied to his forehead. Furthermore, some would wash his feet and offer worship with water, while others would place betel leaf, or tambool, in his mouth.
