How was Sai Baba involved when Kashiram was being attacked by thieves? Was he physically there?

Sai Baba, referred to as Maharaj, was not physically present during the attack on Kashiram. His intervention was spiritual and from a distance. As Chapter 0 recounts, while Kashiram was fighting the robbers, Maharaj, who was in Shirdi, suddenly became very agitated, shouting and swearing. The people around him understood this behavior as a sign that he was remotely protecting a dear devotee who was in great danger. The text explicitly states that it would have been impossible for Kashiram to escape alive from the armed thieves without the intervention of the 'Savior,' attributing his survival directly to Maharaj's protective power.
