Once at the Chavadi, Sai Baba was worshipped and adorned with great reverence, like royalty. Chapter 51 recounts that after being honorably seated, devotees would lovingly place various ornaments on Him, such as a crest, a golden crown, or a beautiful turban with a gold-embroidered dress. Garlands of diamonds, pearls, and emeralds were placed around His neck. Further acts of worship included applying a fragrant musk mark on His forehead, washing His feet, anointing His body with sandalwood, and placing betel leaf, or 'tambool', in His mouth as an offering.
