Even though Amir Shakkar was forbidden from visiting the Masjid during his nine-month stay in the Chavadi, his location was such that he received Baba's vision automatically and without effort. Chapter 22 explains that Baba's daily routine brought him near Amir. Every morning, Baba's path for alms went right by the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see him as he went and returned. In the evenings, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi to salute the directions. Furthermore, on every alternate night when Baba stayed in the Chavadi, they were separated by only a plank door and would talk with calm minds after the other devotees had left, granting Amir constant and intimate access to Sai.
How was it possible for Amir Shakkar to get Sai Baba's darshan so frequently even though he was forbidden from going to the Masjid?
