How was Damu Anna involved with the Ram Navami festival in Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 25

Damu Anna played a significant role in the annual Ram Navami festival in Shirdi. According to chapter 25, he was one of two patrons who provided large new flags for the procession each year, with the other flag belonging to the Nimonkars. This was a vow he had undertaken and fulfilled for many years with uninterrupted love and devotion. The text describes how the flags would be taken in a procession starting from the house of Kondaji Sutara, accompanied by musical instruments, and eventually tied to the two ends of the Masjid. Additionally, as part of his observance, Damu Anna would also ensure that any Fakirs who came to Shirdi for the festival were fed to their heart's content.
