How was Chand Patil connected to Sai Baba's arrival in Shirdi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

According to Chapter 39, Chand Patil was instrumental in Sai Baba's journey to Shirdi. He was a meritorious man who first found this 'treasure' (Sai). The narrative recounts how Patil lost his horse, met Sai, was offered a chillum to smoke, and subsequently recovered his horse. Later, a marriage for Chand Patil's nephew was arranged in Shirdi. Sai Baba accompanied the wedding party from Dhupkheda to the bride's village, which is how he unexpectedly arrived in Shirdi. The chapter clarifies, however, that Patil was merely an instrument for Sai's own divine purpose.
