How much food did Sai Baba cook in the Masjid, and who was it primarily intended for?

Sai Baba's cooking was a significant daily event aimed at feeding many people. According to Chapter 38, he used two types of cooking pots, or "Handis." The small Handi could cook enough food to suffice for fifty people, while the large one could feed a hundred people, with food still being left over. After the food was consecrated, initial portions were sent to Mhalasapati and Tatya. However, the primary beneficiaries of this daily feast were the poor and the weak. Chapter 38 states that Baba found "joy and contentment" by satisfying the hungry, personally serving them and affectionately encouraging them to eat their fill. This act of feeding the needy was a central part of his daily routine in the Masjid.
