How involved was Sai Baba in the actual cooking process for the food he distributed?

📖 Chapter 38

Sai Baba was deeply and personally involved in every stage of the cooking process. According to Chapter 38, he would personally go to the grocer to buy all the necessary ingredients, such as salt, chili, cumin, vegetables, and coconut, and he always paid in cash on the spot. Back in the Masjid, he would grind wheat, pulses, and millet himself using a grinding stone. The text highlights that Baba performed the main labor for the Handi tirelessly, including grinding spices with great devotion and personally managing the fire's intensity. He also kneaded flour to make large flatbreads called 'Pole' and prepared a gruel known as 'Ambil' (Chapter 38, verses 33-40).
