How does the Shri Sai Satcharitra define 'heaven' and why is it considered superior to a place of mere pleasure?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 presents a profound redefinition of heaven. It is not a place for sensual enjoyment but a state of consciousness. The text clarifies, 'What else is heaven? The Vairaj (the Cosmic Being) itself is the heavenly world.' This is a state of realizing the Cosmic Self-form, which is inherently free from mental grief, disease, worry, and the fear of death. This chapter dismisses the conventional heaven, where one might revel like Indra in his garden, as a place for fleeting sensual pleasure that is fundamentally no different than a donkey wallowing in dung. The true, divine heavenly state is a fearless existence of non-duality, achieved by transcending worldly afflictions.
