How does the scripture explain the concept of the Guru being the true Brahman and its implication for worship?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 45

In Chapter 45, the scripture presents a profound concept for the disciple: the Guru is not merely a guide but is the true Brahman, the eternal reality, while the world is transient. This understanding is the foundation for the spiritual path. The means to progress is to renounce the transient world and to constantly meditate only on the Guru. This constancy of feeling and focus cultivates dispassion, or Vairagya. The text further explains that when the Sadguru is seen as the solid mass of Brahman-consciousness, divinity then arises in all beings. This leads to what is called 'undifferentiated worship' (Abheda-bhajan), where the distinction between the worshipper and the worshipped begins to dissolve.
