How does the Satcharitra describe the connection between love, faith, and knowledge on the spiritual path?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 48

Chapter 48 explains this relationship using the metaphor of a lamp. It describes a mind of theism and a state of faith as the 'lamp-dish of the devotee's heart.' Into this dish, the 'oil of love' is poured to light the wick, which then allows the 'flame of knowledge' to manifest. The text strongly emphasizes that without love, knowledge is considered dry and useless, and true satisfaction cannot be achieved. Furthermore, it clarifies that love arises from faith (Bhava), stating that where there is faith, God is present, and love is fully contained within that faith. Therefore, as chapter 48 concludes, faith is the essential cause for successfully crossing the ocean of worldly existence.
