In Chapter 30, the author, Hemadpant, expresses extreme humility regarding his role in composing the Sai Satcharita. He sees himself as merely an instrument. He questions his own credentials by asking, "what qualification do I have? Who takes up this task upon themselves?" He resolves this by concluding that the work is not his, but Sai's: "He whose work it is, He Himself gets it accomplished. What burden is there on me then?"
