How does Sai's teaching contrast ignorance (Avidya) with knowledge (Vidya) in relation to worldly life?

📖 Chapter 37

In Chapter 37, ignorance, or Avidya, is identified as the root cause of suffering. It establishes the perception of manifoldness, leading to worldly bonds and constant worry, and is defined as that which has only the 'pleasant' (Preyas) as its subject. In contrast, knowledge, or Vidya, is what has the 'ultimate good' (Shreyas) as its subject. The text states that one should acquire Vidya through the scriptures and the Guru to counter Avidya. When ignorance is removed, the perception of difference disappears, and the cycle of birth and death ceases.
