How does Sai Baba's teaching explain the human soul's entanglement in worldly suffering, and what is the recommended path to escape it?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

According to Chapter 23, the soul's true nature is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda), but it becomes deluded by Maya, forgets its real self, and mistakenly identifies with the body. This leads to pride and the false notion of being the "doer" and "enjoyer," resulting in a cycle of calamities. The text uses the metaphor of a parrot in a cage, which loves its bondage and fears freedom because it doesn't know any better. The only way to calm these troubles and escape this state is through loving devotion (Bhakti Yoga) at the feet of a Guru, who can color the devotee in His own divine hue and apply the "ointment" of knowledge to their eyes.
