How does Sai Baba explain the practical meaning of offering 'two paise' to a Guru, and what did he mean when he gave them?

📖 Chapter 19

In Chapter 19, Sai Baba clarifies that the 'two paise' he was asked to give his Guru were not literal currency. He explains that his Guru was 'Purnakam' (one whose desires were fulfilled) and had no need for worldly money. Instead, the two paise represented the essential virtues of Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi). Baba states, "Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi)—these were the two paise, nothing else; I gave them to him then and there, and thus my Guru-Mother was pleased with me." This act demonstrates that the true offering a disciple makes is not material wealth, but rather the internal commitment to unwavering faith and steadfast patience on the spiritual path.
