How does one transition from a worldly inclination (Pravrutti) to a state of cessation (Nivrutti), and how are these states defined?

📖 Chapter 17

According to the wisdom in Chapter 17, the worldly inclination, or Samsara-pravrutti, is identified as the ignorant tendency of the soul. The transition to cessation, or Nivrutti, is achieved when the knowledge of the Self is attained. The text further explains that in the state of Pravrutti, one perceives distinctions like enemies and friends. However, in the state of Nivrutti, one sees only the Self everywhere, which dissolves such dualities. This shift occurs instantly when the tendency of bodily ego dissolves, which is considered the soul's true state of the Supreme Self.
