How does one cultivate detachment according to the path described in Chapter 46?

📖 Chapter 46

Chapter 46 outlines a clear spiritual process for cultivating detachment. The journey starts with the constant chanting of the Guru's name, which is said to wash away sins. This practice purifies the devotee by causing the qualities of 'Rajas' (passion) and 'Tamas' (ignorance) to vanish, while the quality of 'Sattva' (purity) gradually increases. As purity grows, a righteous disposition, or 'Dharma,' is awakened. The text states that once this righteousness is established, detachment inevitably "comes running behind it." This leads to a state where worldly subjects lose their grip, and self-knowledge manifests instantly.
