How does Chapter 50 distinguish the role of a Sadguru from that of a worldly father?

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra presents a profound distinction between a worldly father and a Sadguru. While it acknowledges various "fathers"—the progenitor, the one performing the thread ceremony, the provider, and the protector—it elevates the Sadguru above all. The text explains that a worldly father gives birth through a physical process, placing a seed in the womb. In contrast, the Sadguru is described as an "extraordinary progenitor" who gives birth to his disciple spiritually. As Chapter 50 beautifully illustrates, the Sadguru grants full initiation (Anugraha) and brings forth a spiritual son or disciple "without spending a drop of seed, without the lower birth canal." This spiritual birth, initiated by the Guru, is what ultimately leads the disciple towards liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
