How does Chapter 47 explain the concepts of Karma and rebirth?

📖 Chapter 47

Chapter 47 explains that the law of Karma is profound and inescapable, stating that "The law of Karma is very deep; no one can comprehend it." The text posits that by committing great sins, a person attains a future birth that corresponds exactly to their actions. It uses the phrase "As the action, so the hearing" to illustrate this direct link. The chapter further elaborates that births occur according to one's consciousness and that foolish beings receive a body precisely as they have earned. Therefore, as Chapter 47 warns, one must not waste the "priceless opportunity of human birth" but should use it to attain self-knowledge before the body perishes, thereby transcending the cycle of rebirth.
