How does Chapter 45 explain the ultimate nature of the Guru in the context of spiritual realization?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 45

In Chapter 45, the Guru is elevated to the highest spiritual status, being equated directly with the eternal reality, Brahman. The text establishes a fundamental duality: "Brahman is eternal, the world is transient." It then immediately states, "the Guru alone is the true Brahman." Consequently, the prescribed path is to renounce the transient world and meditate solely on the Guru. This constant focus is the means to generate dispassion (Vairagya). The Sadguru is described as a "solid mass of Brahman-consciousness," and by focusing on this, the devotee can eventually see divinity in all beings, a state called "undifferentiated worship."
