How does Chapter 44 describe Sai Baba's final days and the events immediately following his passing?

📖 Chapter 44

According to the detailed account in Chapter 44, Sai Baba, knowing his end was near, engaged in a specific spiritual practice. He listened with focused contemplation to a Brahmin reciting the Ramayana for a continuous period of fourteen days and nights. As these two weeks of listening were completed, the day of Vijayadashami arrived, and Baba attained the state of 'bodilessness,' or passed away. The chapter narrates that immediately after his breath left his body, there was immense confusion. For the next twenty-six hours, Hindus and Muslims deliberated on how to handle the final rites, with uncertainty arising about whether it was true death or a state of deep Samadhi, especially given a past incident where he had revived after three days.
