How does Chapter 40 illustrate the merging of a devotee with the Guru?

📖 Chapter 40

Chapter 40 uses a powerful analogy to describe the union between a devotee and the Sadguru. It compares them to a river and an ocean, which have different names but are essentially one in essence. When they meet during the rainy season, no difference remains. The chapter explains that similarly, when a devotee seeks exclusive refuge in the Sadguru with true devotion, the sense of duality, or the separate feelings of 'me' and 'you,' is destroyed. As described in this chapter, Sai Baba grants the devotee His own Guru-nature, embracing them in His heart and making the unattainable attainable for them.
