How does Chapter 38 compare different virtues across the ages and different types of charity?

Chapter 38 of the Sai Satcharitra provides a clear hierarchy of virtues according to the different cosmic ages (yugas). It states that the primary virtue was penance in the Krita age, knowledge in the Treta age, and sacrifice in the Dvapara age. For the current Kali age, charity is declared as the most important virtue.
