How does Chapter 37 explain the metaphysical causes of death and the continuous cycle of rebirth?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 provides a deep philosophical explanation of death and the cycle of Samsara. It states that the true 'nooses of death' are not external but internal states: unrighteousness (Adharma), ignorance, anger, and hatred. Furthermore, the chapter identifies the root cause of being trapped in the eternal cycle of birth and death. This cycle continues for any individual who holds a sense of difference and separation from the ultimate reality, the Parabrahman. The deluded belief that "Parabrahman is different from me; I am not that" is what subjects a soul to this perpetual turning of the wheel of worldly existence. To escape this cycle, one must cross beyond these internal nooses and realize the non-duality of the Self.
