It is described as the state of being caught in the nooses of unrighteousness (Adharma), ignorance, anger, and hatred. Conversely, 'heaven' is not a physical location but a state of consciousness. It is equated with the Vairaj, or the Cosmic Self-form, a state free from mental grief, disease, worry, and the fear of death. In this divine heavenly state, the soul moves about fearlessly, unburdened by duality. Therefore, crossing beyond the grip of ignorance and hatred is what truly allows one to enter this heavenly world.
