How does Chapter 35 describe the mindset of skeptics who visited Shirdi, and what was the outcome of their visit?

📖 Chapter 35

According to Chapter 35, certain skeptics approached Shirdi with significant pride in their own spiritual path, which favored the worship of a formless divine. They viewed saints as merely human and believed that bowing to them or giving them monetary offerings (Dakshina) was inappropriate. They specifically heard that Sai Baba accepted Dakshina, which they felt diminished his saintliness. As detailed in the chapter, they would resolve, "We will not bow at his feet, nor offer any Dakshina." However, the text states that this firm resolve would always dissolve upon actually seeing Sai. In the union of Darshan, their pride would vanish, and they would surrender at his feet, becoming devotees.
