How does Chapter 34 describe the state of the Malegaon family before they decided to visit Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 34

According to Chapter 34, the family from Malegaon was in a state of utter desperation. The nephew, who was young, was suffering immense and unbearable pain from a bone-cyst. His uncle, a degree-holding doctor, along with his physician friends and expert surgeons, had tried every possible treatment but were exhausted and felt helpless. The text mentions that all native and foreign remedies were tried without success. Having reached the limit of their efforts with medicine and even prayers to other deities, they were deeply worried and distressed, seeing no way out until they heard of Sai Baba as a final resort.
