How does Chapter 23 describe Sai Baba's personal conduct and His perception of Himself?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

According to Chapter 23, while devotees considered Sai Baba to be an Incarnation (Avatar) due to His divine characteristics, He Himself maintained a posture of profound humility. The text states He would say, 'I am a humble servant in the court of Allah.' He practiced pure Varnasrama, or appropriate social and religious duties, and never looked down on anyone. He saw Narayana, the divine consciousness, in all beings, both moving and unmoving. Chapter 23 explicitly notes that Baba never proclaimed 'Anal Haq' (I am God), but instead constantly chanted phrases like 'I am a poor servant,' 'He is the Truth (Ya-De-Haq),' and 'Allah Malik' (God is the Master), emphasizing His role as a servant of God rather than God Himself.
