How does Chapter 12 of the Sai Satcharitra describe the nature of saints, and why are they considered unique?

📖 Chapter 12

According to Chapter 12 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, saints possess a unique nature that distinguishes them even from the typical role of a divine incarnation. While God's incarnation is for protecting the virtuous and destroying the wicked, saints treat both the virtuous and the wicked as equals, with no sense of who is great or small. The chapter states that saints are even greater than God in this respect, as they first focus on setting the wicked onto the right path, their hearts overflowing with compassion for the distressed. They are described metaphorically as the sage Agastya who can drink the ocean of worldly existence and as the sun that dispels the darkness of ignorance, being ultimately inseparable from the Supreme Soul.
