How does Chapter 11 explain the concepts of Saguna (manifest) and Nirguna (unmanifest) and their relationship to devotion?

📖 Chapter 11

Chapter 11 provides a detailed explanation of the relationship between the manifest (Saguna) and the unmanifest (Nirguna). It posits that they are not different from each other, using the analogy of ghee, which is called ghee whether it is frozen (formed) or melted (formless). The chapter argues that for a devotee who has a physical form, worshipping a Guru in a physical form is essential and much easier. According to Chapter 11, love for the Saguna must be firm before the realization of the Nirguna can follow. It states that without meditating on the manifest form, loving devotion never truly manifests, which is necessary for the 'bud of the mind' to open. Baba himself used various methods to guide devotees from Saguna to Nirguna realization.
