How does Baba explain the path to liberation and the nature of the true Self?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 19

Baba describes liberation as the ultimate goal where the senses and mind find rest in the Pure Brahman. In chapter 19, this state is achieved by understanding the true nature of the Soul, which is distinct from the body, senses, and mind. The Soul is described as self-luminous, changeless, and pure consciousness. The text uses an analogy of a crystal that may appear to take on different colors but remains intrinsically pure and untainted. The false ego of 'I am the body' is likened to mistaking a rope for a snake. Liberation is the awakening from this delusion. While knowledge is the highest path, chapter 19 also notes that Baba advised the path of Devotion (Bhakti) for common people as an easier means to break the bonds of worldly existence.
