How does Baba compare the paths of Knowledge (Jnana) and Devotion (Bhakti) for spiritual seekers?

📖 Chapter 19

Baba uses a beautiful analogy to explain the difference between the path of Knowledge (Jnana) and the path of Devotion (Bhakti). As detailed in Chapter 19, he likens Jnana to a Ramphal (Bullock's heart fruit) and Bhakti to a Sitaphal (Custard apple). The Ramphal, representing Knowledge, is sweet only if it ripens fully on the tree, which requires immense patience. If it falls early, it becomes pungent. This illustrates the difficulty and discipline required for the path of Knowledge. In contrast, the Sitaphal, representing Devotion, is described as an easy, juicy, and sweet path that requires little labor but is invaluable. This is why Baba, the Cloud of Mercy, often advised the path of Devotion for the common people.
