How did the saint who came to be known as Sai Baba first arrive in Shirdi and how did he receive that specific name?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 0

According to the introductory chapter, the man who would become Sai Baba traveled to Shirdi with a wedding procession for the nephew of Chandbhai's wife. The group stopped in a garden near the Khandoba temple. When the saint, then called Maharaj, entered the temple, he was greeted by a resident named Mhalasapati. As Chapter 0 recounts, Mhalasapati saw him and said, "Aavo Sai Baba" (Come, Sai Baba). The saint held onto this name for the rest of his life, and he was thereafter known as Sai Baba by his devotees.
