How did the people and the village show their joy and celebrate during the Chavadi procession?

The Chavadi procession was a time of immense joy and celebration for everyone. According to Chapter 37, the village was decorated with arches, toranas (garlands), and flags fluttering high. Children were dressed in new clothes and divine ornaments. During the procession, devotees, filled with joy, would sing bhajans while walking in rows. Some carried banners and flags, including the 'Garuda-tak', and would dance and jump. The entire path was lined with shawls as foot-cloths, and the air filled with victorious chants and the thunder of drums and trumpets.
