As recounted in Chapter 34, the parents approached Sai Baba with great humility and desperation. Upon arriving in Shirdi, they immediately had Baba’s darshan, bowed at his feet, and prostrated. With choked voices, folded hands, and pitiful faces, they narrated their son's suffering and their own exhaustion. They pleaded with Sai Samarth to place his protective hand on the child's head, explaining that they had come seeking refuge with total devotion after hearing of his greatness. In response, Sai, described as the embodiment of compassion, immediately reassured them. He told them to be free of worry, stating that those who seek shelter in the Masjid would never face downfall.
