How did the individual known as Sai Baba receive that name?

📖 Chapter 0

The name 'Sai Baba' was bestowed upon Maharaj by a gentleman named Mhalasapati upon his arrival in Shirdi. As described in Chapter 0, when Maharaj entered the Khandoba temple, Mhalasapati, a goldsmith and devotee of Khandoba, greeted him with the words 'Aavo Sai Baba,' which translates to 'Come, Sai Baba.' Maharaj embraced this name and it stayed with him for the rest of his life. The text even notes that when his testimony was taken in a commission and he was asked his name, he replied, 'They call me Sai Baba,' indicating his acceptance of the name given by his devotee.
