How did the incident with the khaja and Baba's omniscience affect Laxmichand's devotion?

The miraculous events described in Chapter 28 had a profound and transformative effect on Laxmichand's faith. After his unspoken craving for khaja was fulfilled and he heard Baba echo his thoughts about his hunger and back pain, "joy arose in his heart." The Satcharitra states that from that point forward, Laxmichand's "love was fixed on Baba." This experience solidified his devotion, turning it into a regular practice. He became so dedicated that whenever he learned someone was traveling to Shirdi, he would unfailingly send offerings of a garland, dakshina, camphor, and incense with them for Baba.
