How did the incident with the khaja affect Laxmichand's devotion to Sai Baba?

The incident with the khaja had a profound and lasting impact on Laxmichand's faith. As described in Chapter 28, after his unspoken desire for the sweet was fulfilled and he witnessed Baba's inner knowledge of his hunger and back pain, his "love was fixed on Baba." This experience solidified his devotion, transforming it into a regular practice. From that point on, whenever Laxmichand found out someone was traveling to Shirdi, he would consistently send offerings of a garland, dakshina, camphor, and incense to be presented to Sai Baba.
